In 2011, at the age of 15, I discovered my passion about genealogy and family history. With hard work, dedication and with the blessing of meeting other genealogy enthusiasts, I became involved in the field of Greek genealogy.
In 2020, after completing my academic training in history and with a long list of co-operations with the most renowned international genealogy organizations, I decided to take Greek genealogy to the next level, by founding a digital hub of Greek genealogy: Greek Ancestry.
Before the founding of Greek Ancestry, access to online records and resources from Greece was non-existent, hindering research for people of Greek descent and those interested in Greek historical records.
Today Greek Ancestry is the world’s largest Greek genealogy and family history organization. Our team provides professional research services to clients worldwide, and our website hosts an extensive and constantly growing database of Greek historical records. Deeply committed to developing the field, we sponsor several free educational initiatives on Greek genealogy, culture and history, such as our International Conference, the “Village History Projects Initiative” and “Yiayia & Me.”
Greek Ancestry’s database of historical records is the result of the hard work of our team of indexers in Greece and abroad. We also owe a debt of gratitude to friends and pioneers of Greek genealogy, such as Carol Kostakos Petranek and Georgia Stryker Keilman, for their invaluable support.
Thank you for visiting Greek Ancestry, and we look forward to helping you uncover your Greek roots!
